AutoCAD 21.0 Free X64 (2022)
Autodesk has been developing CAD applications since 1979, when it acquired the small startup bureau Beech Systems. Its first two products were Basic Graphic and AutoCAD Basic, launched in 1980 and 1981. The early work of the company was largely driven by chief executive Joseph Capuozzo, who had no training in CAD.
The head of Beech Systems, Terry Wong, had been working on visualisation applications on the DEC PDP-10 minicomputer, such as VISION, an interactive graphics program developed by Ken Schultz in the late 1970s. On that hardware, Wong had written a graphics programming language that could be interpreted by the PDP-10 to write software for interactive 3D graphics.
That code was first adapted to run on the DEC PDP-11 minicomputer, and then ported to run on the IBM PC, where it was released as an application named VGR (Visual Graphics). After three years of development, VGR went on to form the basis for Autodesk’s first product, Basic Graphics. Basic Graphics, released in late 1981, was the first CAD program to use true 3D graphics.
In the early 1980s, Autodesk invested heavily in research to develop a true 3D graphics model. Autodesk had originally been developing its 3D application on the DEC PDP-11 minicomputer, and in 1983 the company switched its focus from minicomputers to IBM PC-compatible computers with high-resolution graphics cards. In 1982, the company went from a staff of 12 to 160.
AutoCAD I – 1984
On 16 September 1984, Autodesk launched AutoCAD 1.0, its first CAD program for the IBM PC. It was a two-volume set of 640K memory cartridges which were initially sold at US$6,600, the equivalent of $23,000 in 2018. AutoCAD was marketed as a desktop 3D graphics program for engineers, architects, drafters and technical illustrators.
Volume I included the AutoCAD graphics language, drawing tools and tools for drafting.
Volume II contained numerous features such as dimensions, profiled edges, surface analysis, sketching, orthographic views, block, markup, and Boolean operations on solids and surfaces.
AutoCAD released a version for the Apple Macintosh in 1985. AutoCAD continued to evolve and, in 1985, was
ObjectARX introduced the concept of programming entities which are object-oriented programming language constructs which can be used in programming. These objects are very similar to classes in object-oriented programming languages. AutoCAD has more than 60 programming entities (numbered 1–60) which can be used in scripts and macro programming for extending AutoCAD’s basic features. AutoLISP, Visual LISP, and AutoCAD’s standard VBA macros can also be used to write AutoCAD extensions.

Entity 1 (Entity AR0023)
References the drawing named A101J-EXPORT-FILE, and creates a new Drawing object. The parent object is Drawing, the name is A101J, the extension is EXPORT-FILE, and the prefix is AR0023. The parent object is the active drawing.
After the Drawing object is created, the user name is assigned. The Drawing object is exported to a new drawing file. The drawing file is saved in the template folder. The template folder is defined by the user’s default Template setting, and the new drawing file is called A101J-EXPORT-FILE.dwt.
Note: This is an example for exporting an AutoCAD drawing object into a new drawing file. There are other programming entities to create, edit, delete, and move drawing objects, to modify their properties, or change their drawing data.

Creates and initiates a drawing command object.
Entity 3 (Entity AR0041)
Creates a double line object. This is an example of a line. A line can be a line, arc, or polyline.

Inside Autodesk Project
In Autodesk Project the command menu contains a command. This displays the work in your computer and the details of the layers, images and comments that you have created and the order in which they appear in the document.
This displays the work on the computer as if it was displayed on the screen of a normal camera. It is possible to display the current editing mode, by selecting from one of the editing modes.
Displays the source document in a mode that is suitable for displaying at a specified page size. The page size used can be selected from the drop-down box. This selection is also made automatically, and is the size of the current page.
Displays the current editing mode, and a preview of the document. The size of the current editing area and the page size are selected automatically, and the size of the displayed area is proportionate to the area used for editing.
You can print the document using the print options that are available.
You can toggle the visibility of the layer list. This shows all layers and the names of all layers that are active.
Applying a drawing revision
After you have made a change to a drawing, you need to apply the revision. This changes the state of the drawing, and enables all the functions and features of the drawing. The revision may consist of only one change, or may consist of a number of changes. It is also possible for the revision to be a deletion of some or all of the content of the drawing.
The revision you want to apply is selected from the revision list, or from the list of revisions when there is more than one revision.
You can apply the revision by simply clicking the button. This will place the drawing in the state specified in the revision.
You can perform a range of actions by clicking the button.
